Dr. Michael Collins (DIT) International Programme Manager

Dr. Michael Collins brings extensive experience from both Industry and Academic environments. He has worked as a software engineer for companies in Ireland and in the United States where he was involved in all stages of complex software design and development. He is currently a Programme Manager and Lecturer in Computer Science at the Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) in the School of Computing. He lectures computer science modules to students at both undergraduate (BSc.) and postgraduate (MSc.) levels. He is also the programme manager for International affairs in his department and is chairperson for the International BSc. and MSc, programmes. He is a class mentor and also manages teams in national and international student software development competitions.

Dr. Collins has published widely at conferences and in journals and is a member of Technical Program Committees for International Conferences. Dr. Collins is also a visiting academic at Universities in parts of Asia and has extensive travel experience.
